Sadly, the title above holds dual meaning. The Sabres are done and so are we -- at least for this season.
After a weekend that saw Erik's computer shit the bed while the Sabres failed to earn even one point over two games versus backup goalies, our respectives seasons have come to a close.
I'm not shutting the blog down, per se, but this might be the last post until the summer. For now, I'm looking at a solid month of helping my wife recover from surgery, and this is the time of year I just enjoy playing outside with my boys instead of sitting at a computer.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to read our ramblings, especially those who did so more than once. A couple months ago when we were in the thick of things, we had around 100 unique visitors per day -- not too bad for a few slapdick Buffalo transplants who think they know hockey.
I believe with a win over Toronto tonight, the Sabres will only need to take 1 point in their remaining two games to make the playoffs. I feel significantly better about their chances if that's the case. I'm just not sure if my math is right.
If that's correct, and if they can get their three points in three games, my life has settled down enough where I'll be blogging throughout the playoff run, however short it may be.
I'm sorry I've been so out of the loop lately. Hope everything is ok with the wife! Didn't know she was having surgery.
And I'm impressed with the hit stats for the page. Sometimes it felt like we were writing for our own entertainment! Nice to know we actually had/have some readers!

Yeah, my math was off. I forgot about the game the Caps hold over us. Have to win out, or beat the Flyers and get some help.
