Pimpin' Ain't Easy

It seems that the Big Daddy Cain is in yet more trouble. He's had two women accuse him of sexual harassment. Now a third woman claims that she had a 13-year affair with the Republican presidential nominee. All of this unwanted attention has compelled to reassess his presidential bid. Perhaps if Cain had game, he wouldn't be in this trouble.

I find it interesting that it takes sex scandals to effectively derail politicians. That most of them are lying bastards who believe that any problem can be solved through the violence of the State does not hurt their prospects. In fact, if a politician actually believes that bombing brown people in foreign countries or arresting people for drug use or molesting people at the airport or killing citizens by presidential decree is immoral, then he is labeled as crazy. But if a politician sexually harasses women or has affairs, then he becomes a pariah who has to reassess his candidacy or resign. (It should be noted that such ostracism can be short-lived. Why do people continue to fall for this? Democracy is a competition among the most violent, deceitful, manipulative, and immoral people in a nation for power. Should we really expect that a man who has no qualms sending the U.S. military around the world to kill foreigners would keep to his marital vows? The outrage and calls for Cain to drop his candidacy remind me of the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky scandal. Republicans had a conniption over Clinton lying about his tryst with Lewinsky, but where were they after Janet Reno's goon squad murdered men, women, and children at Waco? Were Republicans demanding that Reno and Clinton resign after that atrocity? Oh, but lying about adultery? Why, that's immoral!

Frankly, If I did believe in democracy, I'd take a pimp who wants to end all wars of aggression and the national security state over any of these candidates save one any day of the week.

Democracy = three wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for supper. Given the education the public gets from govt. schools and the spin/deceit it gets from the national media, is it any surprise that we have become a country of morons? IMHO, I don't think so.
