The tree, the tin god of environmentalism, gets way too much respect. Trees, many of which are just weeds at heart, can be good or bad or grow in good or bad locations. But badmouth any tree for any reason, and you'll stoke the wrath of the ever-rational environmentalist.
So I won't do that today. I'll just mention how much I love squirrels. There must have been ten of them prancing around my front lawn this morning gathering or eating acorns. I'll always appreciate my symbiotic relationship with squirrels, as my acorns provide sustenance for my little rodent friends who, in turn, guarantee that the nuts never grow into unwanted trees.
Now, if only they killed moles ...
too bad the squirrels dont eat the little nuts that grow up to be enviro-nazis... ;)
