Just in case you were worried that the Bushbama depression would cause the federal government to pinch pennies along with ordinary Americans, have no fear. While companies are laying off employees, Uncle Sam's workforce is growing.
If we don't coerce taxpayers to fund wasteful government boondoggles, the terrorists will win.
"That might seem strange to the 11 million people in the U.S. who are out of work - and the millions more who fear they soon will be. Shouldn't Washington pare down too?"
Of course, the government is the reason the private sector is losing jobs. And given that the State does not produce goods or services which people are willing to voluntarily purchase, eventually more money will be needed to fund these make-work jobs.
Unfortunately, the economists interviewed all agree that the State should increase its spending. Hey, genius economists, where does the money come from?
