11-Year-Old Girl Tased
Can we finally agree that Tasers are being misused by government police when we're using them to zap 11-year-old girls? I don't know, just a thought.
The incident began when teachers at the Moss Elemenary School in Orange County confronted an 11-year-old girl for allegedly attempting to push another student into ongoing traffic outside the campus, MyFOXOrlando.com reported.
Authorities say the young female ignored the teacher and walked inside the homeroom, where she was again approached by teachers over her behavior. The student responded by thowing a desk and chair and attempting to spit on the instructor, according to MyFOXOrlando.com.
Donna Hudepohl, a school resource officer called to remove the troubled girl from the classroom, was allegedly pushed and punched in the face during a struggle to restrain her.
Hudepohl responded by tasering the girl.
It certainly appears this 11-year-old has some issues, and back when I was a teacher I saw my share of some pretty big fourth- and fifth-graders. But maybe it's time to for this school to hire a male security officer if the women can't subdue pre-adolescent girls without electrocuting them.
(Thanks to Jon.)
If you would do a little more research you would find out that this eleven year old, was Five foot five and weighed between 165 and 170 pounds. I think this is no pre-adolescent little girl, as you portray her. Did you also discover the officer's nose might have been broken? You would be the same outraged parent asking what did the school do if she had pushed your child into oncoming traffic.

I'm no genius, but I could have sworn I insinuated that this girl was probably a big one.
Sorry, but I guess I just don't think it takes too much "research" to conclude that government electrocution of children is wrong.

Sean, there's no doubt that this girl was a big girl and a handful, but she WAS preadolescent... 11 years old. I'm in no way defending that kids actions, but anyone who uses a tazer on a child is a piece of trach in my book. I don't know if you have kids or not, but I do, and God help the person who tazes one of them. This country has gotten waaaay to "ok" with using excessive force. "She was a big girl, I HAD to taze her."
And before anyone goes off on me, I am generally pro law enforcement, and I am pro tazer to an extent, but there's a huge difference between tazing someone who's threatening you with a knife and tazing an 11 year old girl who could have been restrained in other ways, even if those ways might have been more difficult.

Rubbish. the guard did the right thing. that brute should be arrested. pushing kids into incoming traffic and attacking a guard... geeze! there used to be times kids respected their elders. must be something in the food that is creating these monsters. I have one living in my building. 16 and almost 6 feet tall and 220 lbs. very aggressive to boot. to all the sympathizers, I bet you wouldn't say that if your child was hit by a car as a result of her actions. she was crazed and needed to be restrained.
