Now that I've started to get T-Rev's Stiff Willi Chili Spice Mix some face time in the marketplace -- look for the new online ad on the homepage of thebaynet.com, a local southern Maryland news site, as well as a print ad in Chile Pepper magazine -- several people have told me how they've used the spice mix at home.
I intend to use this blog in large part as a repository of recipes containing my spice mix, but that doesn't mean I have to come up with all of them. If you've created a culinary masterpiece with it, please send along the recipe and I'll post it here for everyone to try (with full credit to you, of course). And if you can take a couple photos for some eye candy, that's even better. Just send me an email at
t-rev@stiffwilli.com.
A friend of mine told me a couple days ago that his wife added T-Rev's Stiff Willi Chili Spice Mix to her burger patties and they tasted delicious, and I used a few tablespoons the other night to season the filling for my chicken fajitas (2 chicken breasts, yellow onion and green bell pepper, all cut into julienne strips). Because this is a complete spice mix, this is all the seasoning you'll usually need whenever you add it to a particular dish! And because it contains no fillers or preservatives and is actually healthy in addition to being delicious, just remember to add salt to suit your taste -- that's what makes the flavor of the spice mix really pop.
So get cookin' and send in those recipes! I'd love to hear from you. And if you haven't picked up a bottle of spice mix yet, you can order online here.
